My South Coast Photos
I've been lucky enough to be photographing around the Dorset coast and the New Forest for a few years now, and while a few pictures are included in the New Forest and Jurassic Coast Galleries on this site, I also have many more with an online Stock agency based near Bournemouth. If you want to see more like these then why not pay a visit to SEEKER PHOTOS, but don't forget to come back here when you've done...
The Gallery at Snape Maltings
From March 2011 six of my images of the River Alde and marsh beds at Snape will be on exhibition at the Gallery at Snape Maltings. Made famous by Benjamin Britten and the world renowned Aldegurgh Festival, the Maltings are a terrific collection of elderly buildings that house a great mix of music events, shopping opportunities and wildlife experiences. There are seasonal organised boat trips along the Alde, a collection of great walks along both sides of the banks of the River as far as Iken to the south and Aldeburgh to the north. The RSPB and Suffolk Wildlife trust have reserves in the marshland to protect the birds and animal life, while the pub and tea rooms do their best to take care of the human visitors.
Kiln Farm Nursery in Kesgrave
Paul and Ruth have been running a great little garden nursery on the A1214 in Kesgrave for a few years now. The completion of their farm shop building has allowed them to branch out into selling locally produced fruit and veg - and given them wall space to hang a small number of my prints. I'm particularly grateful to them as they've managed to sell an early morning print from the Snape selection in the Suffolk Gallery.
The Gallery at Kesgrave Arts
A proper Art Gallery near to where I live - and brave enough to offer some of my prints.
David Noton's Web Site
Fantastic landscape photography - and a sense of humour.
A brilliant B&B for the New Forest and the South Coast
Normally we'd stay with friends for visits to the New Forest. Recently we didn't, but chose instead to stay at Harvest House, near the village of Milford on Sea. A real treat - especially if you like proper breakfasts, early Porsches and more than a little comfort on your travels. Their reviews say it all - but it certainly got our vote.
